P. Exner aktivně vykonával funkci vicepresidenta výboru Evropské matematické společnosti, jejího nejvyššího orgánu rozhodujícího o řadě opatření pro rozvoj evropské matematiky. V této funkci důstojně representoval ČR, důkazem úspěšnosti je jeho opětovné zvolení na další dva roky.

P. Exner actively served as the vicepresident of the Executive Committee of the European mathematical society, its highest board deciding on a number of measures aiming to the development of the European mathematics. He dutifully represented Czech Republic, the proof is his re-election for the next two years.
