A. Kugler aktivně pracoval v letech 2002-4 ve Výboru pro jadernou fyziku Evropské fyzikální společnosti, většinu této doby jako jeho předseda. Z hlediska ČR zde prosadil zejména uspořádání konference divize jaderné fyziky Evropské fyzikální společnosti NPDC18 Phase transitions in strongly interacting matter v Praze, 23-29.8.2004. Materiály konference vyšly jako Nuclear Physics A749 (2005). Dále se zasadil o vydání českého překladu populární knihy o jaderné fyzice Ray Mackintosh, Jim Al-Khalili, Bjorn Jonson, Teresa Pena: Jádro - cesta do srdce hmoty (Academia, Praha, 2003; ISBN 80-200-1025-4).

A. Kugler actively worked in the years 2002-4 in the Nuclear Physics Board of the European Physical Society, most part of this time as the board chairman. From Czech point of view, he especially acieved the organization of the Nuclear Physics Division EPS Conference NPDC18 Phase transitions in strongly interacting matter in Prague, August 23-29, 2004. The proceedings were published as Nuclear Physics A749 (2005). Further, he initiated the Czech translation of the popular book on nuclear physics Ray Mackintosh, Jim Al-Khalili, Bjorn Jonson, Teresa Pena: Nucleus - the way to the heart of matter (Academia, Prague, 2003; ISBN 80-200-1025-4).
