    Alternative sophisticated use of cultural and medicinally important plants may bring important added value to the agricultural production. Phytosterols, vitamins and other minor natural compounds produced by plants are significant components of plant oils. A mixture of these natural products is generally named deodorizer distillate. Among supercritical fluids, supercritical carbon dioxide has been considered to represent a llgreen" extraction medium, which can be safely used for extracting phytosterols from sustainable plant sources (seeds, leaves etc.). After careful separation, phytosterols may be used in a synthesis of convenient precursor units for designing steroid-based supramolecules.

    Alternativní cílené využití kulturních a medicinálních plodin může vnést významně přidanou hodnotu k zemědělské produkci. Synthetické konjugáty steroidních molekul mohou být dále propojeny s dalšími biologicky aktivními sloučeninami.
