Stať se zabývá rolí ad hoc hypotéz ve vědě na základě přístupů Poppera, Grünbauma, Leplina a Holtona a snaží se ukázat, že současné kosmologické modely mohou být velice inspirativní pro další vyústění těchto diskuzí. Stať se snaží oslabit metodologickou normativnost klasického pojetí ad hoc hypotéz a navrhuje alternativní pohled na jejich status ve vědě.

The article deals with the roles of ad hoc hypothesis in science on the basis of approaches of Popper, Grünbaum, Leplin and Holton. The main aim is try to show, that current cosmological models could serve as an important stimulus for a new discussion of the roles of ad hoc hypothesis in science. The article tries to weaken the role of methodological normativity of the classical conception and suggests an alternative view on their status in science.
