We have showned the nucleolar localization of gamma-tubulin in cell lines of different species and tissue origine as well as in cells in primary cultures. Our data were confirmed by immunoelectron microscopy, RNA silencing and immunoblot analysis of isolated nucleoli. These findings open new horizons in study of gamma-tubulin functions.

Byla prokázána přítomnost gama-tubulinu v jadérkách buněčných kultur různého druhového a tkáňového původu. Přítomnost gama-tubulinu v jadérkách byla potvrzena pomocí imunoelektronové mikroskopie, RNA silencing a imunoblotingu. Díky těmto výsledkům se funkce cytoskeletálního proteinu gama-tubulinu jeví ve zcela nových souvislostech.
