Recently we have shown that HS-ODNs form self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) at mercury electrodes. Constant current chronopotentiometry (CPS) with bare and chemically modified electrodes is particularly useful for recognition of changes in protein structures induced by denaturing reducing and oxidizing agents as well as by single amino acid exchange in proteins important in cancer.
