    The paper deals with approaches and experience in designing of vortex separators in the Czech Republic. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) was used to simulate both flow pattern as well as the treatment performance for a particulate geometry. Both numerical results and the results from the field measurements showed that further research preferably on a physical model in a hydraulic laboratory would be useful.

    Příspěvek se zabývá přístupy k návrhu vírových separátorů v podmínkách České republiky. Metoda CFD byla použita pro simulaci pohybu částice pro určení účinnosti vírového separátoru. Ukázala se potřeba laboratorního výzkumu rychlostního pole.
