Two new species of sphenophyllalean strobili from the Radnice Basin of the western and central Bohemian Carboniferous continental basins of the Czech Republic are proposed together with their in situ spores. Bowmanites brasensis from the Břasy (Matylda Mine) locality, the Radnice Basin and B. pseudoaquensis from the Ovčín locality in the Radnice Basin are proposed as new species, determined mainly on the basis of their in situ spores, which are about 100 μm in diameter. The thick-walled exine of miospores is laevigate or sometimes very finely scabrate. Spores resemble the dispersed species Punctatisporites obesus. Cones of Bowmanites brasensis and B. pseudoaquensis are organically connected with stems having prominent blade leaves.

Jsou popsána dvě nová fertilní karbonská sfenofyla z České republiky. In situ spory jsou typu Punctatisporites obesus a představuí zcela nový druh paleozoických sfenofylních spor.
