Although the physical nature of laser plasmas is the subject of numerous books and review articles, their chemical consequences have been surprisingly sparsely reviewed. This chapter represents the first presentation of the laser-plasma chemistry in a book.

Ačkoli fyzika laserového plazmatu je velmi dobře prostudována a byla již mnohokrát přehledově zpracována, chemické důsledky produkce plazmatu v různých molekulárních soustavách jsou v této kapitole poprvé zpracovány knižně.
