A new method of jet formation, which allows launching a very fast jet having a velocity ~ 400 km/s and the Mach number ~ 10 by using a relatively small laser energy ~ 100 J, was applied at the PALS facility to study plasma jets interaction with a gas-puff has target. The fine structures of the interaction zone were investigated by means of optical and x-ray diagnostics. The experiment is interpreted with a semi-analytical model and 2-D radiation hydrodynamic simulations.
Jemné struktury interakční zóny byly zkoumány pomocí optické interferometrie a rentgenové diagnostiky. Experiment je intepretován na základě semi-analytického modelu a radiačně hydrodynamických 2-D simulací.
