Chronic captopril treatment attenuated norepinephrine-induced contraction of resistance vessels by reduction of Ca2plus influx through VDCC. It remains to determine whether this effect was due to improvement of endothelial dysfunction or due to the down-regulation of inhibitory G-proteins in vascular smooth muscle cells of SHR
