We introduce the concept of $q$-regularly varying functions and establish basic properties of such functions. Among others it is shown that considering regular variation in $q$-calculus is somehow natural and leads to interesting observations and simplifications comparing with classical continuous and discrete theories. The obtained theory is applied to an investigation of asymptotic behaviour of solutions to linear second order &q&-difference equations.

V článku se zavádí pojem q-regulárně se měnících funkcí. Jsou dokázány základní vlastnosti těchto funkcí a zároveň je ukázáno, že q-kalkulus je pro regulární variaci v jistém smyslu velmi přirozenou volbou. Obdržená teorie je v druhé části článku aplikovaná při vyšetřování asymptotického chování řešení lineárních q-diferenčních rovnic 2. řádu.
