We studied the possibilities of two-photon microscopy and second harmonic generation imaging for visualization of type I and type II collagen. This technique, not requiring any staining, was compared with imaging by one-photon confocal microscopy using specific staining of collagen of the corresponding type in cartilage and tendon. Byly studovány možnosti dvoufotonové mikroskopie a zobrazování pomocí generace druhé harmonické při vizualizaci kolagenu typu I a II. Tato technika, nevyžadující barvení, byla porovnána se zobrazováním jednofotonovým konfokálním mikroskopem s využitím specifického barvení na kolagen příslušného typu v chrupavce a slaše. Ukázalo se, že tato technika má perspektivně významné využití v tkáňovém inženýrství
