A detailed magnetostratigraphic study was carried out at the locality of Úhošť near Kadaň on the NE margin of the Doupovské hory volcanic complex . Doupovské hory volcanic complex belongs to the Central European alkaline volcanic suite and its genesis is associated with the Eger Graben. The lava flows are consisting of three different rock types: tephrites/basanites, olivine basalts to picrobasalts and basalts s.s. The age of the whole volcanic sequence ranges from 22.09±0.73 to 28.66±1.06 Ma. The mean declination from all localities is 15.8deg and inclination 52.6deg. The parameter alpha95 ranges between 2 and 10 degree. In brief all lava flows has normal polarity. Recently we are measuring succession the 6 lava flows from the west facing hillside of Úhošť that lies just above the measured succession. The preliminary results show also only normal polarity.
