We investigated the expression and distribution of class III beta-tubulin, GFAP and nestin. We found that class III beta-tubulin is constitutively coexpressed with GFAP and nestin in midgestational human fetal astrocytes. This indicates that beta III-tubulin is not neuron-specific.
