Reliéf Národního parku Podyjí byl studován s využitím podrobného geomorfologického mapování a na jeho základě byl rozdělen do tří základních typů: i) etchplain, ii) východní okrajový svah České vysočiny, iii) kaňonovité údolí řeky Dyje. Typy reliéfu byly využity jako základ pro vymezení 19 krajinně-ekologických segmentů v Národním parku Podyjí s přihlédnutím k ochraně přírody a krajiny.

Relief of the Podyjí NP was studied with using of the method of detailed geomorphologic mapping. On the basis of investigations authors distinguished three main relief types: i) etchplain, ii) eastern border slope of the Bohemian Highlands and iii) canyon-like valley of the Dyje/Thaya R in the Podyjí NP. Relief types were used as a base for delimitation of landscape-ecological segments in the Podyjí NP. These segments were delimited from the point of view of nature conservation and landscape protection according to 19 most interesting and representative landscape-ecological segments.
