Dramatický rozvoj výpočetní techniky dovoluje přechod od současných metod posuzování spolehlivosti vzniklých v předpočítačové éře a uplatňovaných dosud v Eurocodech k pravděpodobnostním metodám založených na aplikaci simulační techniky a rostoucím potenciálu výpočetní technologie.
The dramatic development of the computer technology allows to consider a transition from current structural reliability assessment methods developed in the pre computer era, such as partial factors design applied in Euro codes, to probabilistic methods using simulation technique and the increasing potential of the available computers to its full.
