Článek se zabývá textem J 20,26 v současném českém liturgickém překladu Nového zákona (tzv. Bognerův překlad). Řecká participální konstrukce je přeložena "zavřenými dveřmi", což je nepřiměřené zúžení smyslu. Autor dochází k závěru, že překlad nebyl proveden z řečtiny, nýbrž z latinského znění ianuis clausis, které bylo mechanicky přeloženo českým instrumentálem. Stejného lapsu se dopustila řada předchozích českých překladů již od středověku.
The article focuses on John 20,26 in the contemporary Czech Catholic liturgical translation of New Testament (the so called Václav Bogner's translation). The Greek participial construction is translated into Czech as "through the closed door", which narrows the sense inappropriately. The author argues that the translation was not made from Greek (as proclaimed by translator), but from Latin ianuis clausis, which was brusquely versed as Czech instrumental. Similarly many Czech translations since the Middle Ages.
