Studie srovnává metaforu "ocelového krunýře" (stahlhartes Gehäuse) Maxe Webera s jejím překladem Talcotta Parsonsa do podoby "železné klece" (iron cage). Každá z figur implikuje radikálně odlišné pojetí transformace subjektu v modernitě.
The article confronts Max Weber's metaphor of the "shell as hard as steel" (stahlhartes Gehäuse) with its translation by Talcott Parsons into the "iron cage". The figures each imply a radically different understanding of the transformation of human subject in modernity.
