Mezi Quinem a Goodmanem panuje shoda v řadě zásadních filosofických otázek. V tomto příspěvku se však autor zaměřuje na jeden z bodů, kde se jejich názory rozcházejí. Jedná se o otázku po vztahu fyzikalistické doktríny a pojmu faktu.

Quine and Goodman are in agreement concerning a number of philosophical problems. However, in this paper the author focuses on one point in which their outlooks differ, viz. the relation of the physicalist doctrine and the notion of fact.
