    To examine the bahaviour of the periodic and random amplyfying medium near the lasing threshold we employ the convergence criterion proposed by Nam and Zhang [Phys.Rev.B 66,(73101)2002]. Then the generalized of the two-parameter scaling model that describes the bahaviour of the transmittance of a random active medium near the lasing threshold in terms of the critical length Lc is proposed and discussed in the context of revisited single-parameter scaling theory by Deych [Phys.Rev.Let. 84,(2678)2002].
