A new DNA-based protein immobilization method has been developed for use with SPR biosensors. This DNA-based immobilization method provides a convenient and versatile alternative to the commonly used biotin/straptavidin platform, with comparable, if not better, sensitivity. This work presented a comparison of these two platforms, focusing on the detection of hCG as a model system.
