Electromagnetic activity of cold sensitive tubulin mutants tub2-401 and tub2-406 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae was measured in the M phase of the cell cycle in the frequency band 8-9 MHz. In the beginning of the M phase the mutant tub2-401 (tub2-406) displayed no microtubules (developed but aberrant non-functional microtubules) and no (high) electromagnetic activity around cells. The profile of the activity of tub2-406 seems to be delayed by the time when non-functional microtubules are depolymerized.
