Results of the experimental study of a sensor for the in-situ monitoring of the polymer cure process are given. The sensor is based on changes of the refractive index of the polymer during its cure which are detected by means a special optical fiber placed in the polymer. The fiber was drawn from glass with a refractive index value of 1.62. The sensitivity of this fiber to refractive-index changes of its cladding in a range from 1.5 to 1.58 was checked in immersion experiments.
