V literatuře byl diskutován paradox, týkající se termoelastické pružiny. Vysvětlení bylo neuspokojivé, protože byla zanedbána termomechanická vazba. Je navrženo nové řešení, v němž tato vazba má důležitou úlohu.

A paradox involving a thermoelastic helical spring device was discussed in literature. The explanation suggestted there was unsatisfactory since it disregarded the effect of thermoelastic coupling. A new solution is proposed in which the coupling term plays a crucial role.
