Korelace emisní aktivity s průběhem plastické deformace a vznikem defektů je canným nástrojem pro hodnocení a objasnění vlivu přísad na mechanismus deformace polymerních směsí.
Tested materials (polypropylene and its blends with polyethylene and other additives) exhibit large localized plastic deformation or necking, reaching hundreds of percent before failure. Image analysis procedure based on displacement of contrast markers on the surface has been usedto quantitatively evaluate axial and lateral strains and strain rates along the sample.
