This contribution deals with devices and techniques recommended for laboratory and field measurements of basic hydrodynamic parameters of liquid and slurry flow in pipes and laboratory flumes. Some advisable methods of mean and local flow velocity, pressure head and gradient, slurry density and solids concentration measurements are listed in the paper.
