Triynes R-CđC-CH₂CH₂-Ar-CđC-Ar'-CH₂CH₂-CđC-R were subjected to Co(I)- or Ni(0)- mediated intramolecular [2+2+2] cycloisomerization to provide tetrahydropentahelicene, tetrahydrohexahelicene, and tetrahydroheptahelicene.
