    6 OT analogues ([D- and L-.I.m./I.-Me-Phe2]OT, [D-and L-.I.m./I.-OMe-Phe2]OT and [D- and L-.I.o./I.-Me-Tyr2]OT) were synthesized and several previously described analogues resynthesized. Is was found that in the absence of Mg2+ substitution of the .I.o./I.- and .I.m./I.-position leads to loss of intrinsic activity in contrast to the .I.p./I.-position.
