Certain morphological changes such as rearrangement ofcytoskeletal proteins of the mammalian spermatozoa are detectable during acrosome reaction. Our results of confocal and electron microscopy demonstrate changes of actin-, tubulin-, and spectrin-containing structures after acrosome reaction. Our data indicate that specificic cytoskeletal inhibitors influence the acrosome reaction and they prove the role of cytoskeletal proteins in this process.
