Increasing creep strain of materials with PoissonŽs ratio smaller than 0.5 generates additional free volume, which accounts for a continuous shortening of retardation times. The shift factor along the time scale in the time-strain superposition is not constant, but monotonically rises with the elapsed creep time. Generalised creep dependence related to a pseudo iso-free-volume state can be transformed into a real long-term creep curve for a selected stress.
