A constitutive equation formed by a combination of the Langevin-statistics-based Arruda-Boyce theory with a constraint term based on tube theories provides a good basis for a quantitative interpretation of the stress-strain data on double networks of natural rubber. The success of the equation follows from its ability to model the upturn of reduced stress at high strains.
