Many cationic and zwitterionic surfactants are excellent drug reducing agents. The hydrodynamic radius of the micelles, the shear and extensional viscosity of the solutions at concentrations appropriate for drag reduction and the influence of salts were investigated with one cationic and one zwitterionic surfactants.
