The possibility of preparing three-layer nanoparticles by adding a monomer in a micellar solution and subsequent polymerization was demonstrated. Contrast-variation small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) data shows that the newly formed polymer forms a layer on the surface of the micelle core. Time-resolved SANS experiments were performed to monitor the process of polymerization.
