Restoration of chiral symmetry with increasing baryon density and temperature results in corresponding decrease of the constituent quark masses. As a consequence, one expects more or less pronounced changes in mass and resonance width of vector mesons like p, w, and í when embedded in the nuclear medium. For the e+e- -decay channels pioneering work has been performed in Berkeley at the Di-Lepton Spectrometer DLS and - in the ultra-relativistic energy regime - by the CERES and HELIOS experiments at CERN.
