Keywords : bioethanol * dewatering * non-isothermal sorption
Subject RIV: CF - Physical ; Theoretical Chemistry
The aim of the present work is to test prospects of to use sorption on selected sorbents to remove residual water from ethanol-water mixtures with composition near to that of azeotrope at normal boiling point. The heat effects are studied during sorption dynamics of mixtures on fixed beds of adsorbents. Another subject of interest is behaviour of the sorbents in adsorption-desorption cycles and a long term stability of the sorbents in hydrothermal conditions.
