Understanding and control of the particle and heat transport at the tokamak edge is of primary importance for desing of future large-scale experiments.It is recognized that the transport properties of the edge plasma can be controlles in some way by imposing electric fields.This contribution is devoted to the description of experiments with the biased electrode inserted into the scrape.
