    A quasi-continous CO2 laser been used for an additional treatment of plasma sprayed deposits from natural ZrSiO4 (zircon).Zircon on interaction with plasma decomposes to ZrO2 (zirconia) and SiO2 (silica).Detailed comparison of the as-sprayed and laser-treated ceramics were executed using several techniques, such as the scanning electron microscopy with X-ray microanalysis, X-ray.
