Graham's diffusion cell is based on validity of Graham's law. Cell arrangement enables to stop the gas inlet and outlet of the one cell compartment and to determine the net volumetric diffusion flux through the tested porous material. This cell overcomes both disadvantages of the classic Wicke-Kallenbach cell, but in requires (because of reliable determination of net molar diffusion flux density) sufficient different molecular weights between gases and consecutively the occurence of unwanted surface diffusion.
