The contribution deals with the problems of fluidized bed combustion of metal-loaded coal in a pilot-plant unit (100 kW). A two-level cap distributor enabled us to change easily between oxidative and reductive regime of combustion. The behavior of metals during the combustion was studied together with their distribution among the bed ash and scrubber sludge.
