V této kapitole se autorka nejprve zabývá genderovými aspekty konstrukce vědeckého poznání a vědeckých institucí od založení prvních vědeckých institucí na počátku 17. století a vyloučením žen z těchto institucí. V druhé části se zaměřuje na popis a analýzu současné situace v EU a v České republice a představuje základní nástroje řešení. Na závěr prezentuje opatření, která by mohla situace žen ve vědě výrazně zlepšit.

In this chapter, the author first concentrates on gender aspects of the construction of scientific knowledge and scientific institutions since their foundation at the beginning of the 17th century and the exclusion of women from these institutions. In the second portion of the chapter she focuses on the description and analysis of the current situation in the EU and the Czech Republic and presents basic tools of solution. In conclusion she presents measures that could improve the situation of women in science.
