Kniha obsahuje třináct statí z oblasti výzkumu agrese, identity a osobnosti. Její autoři se snaží postihnout dílčí i komplexnější vztahy mezi prvky uvedených tématických okruhů. Agrese je pojednána ve vztahu k vlastnímu já, k normám a identitě, odpovědnosti, enviromentálním stresorům, rodovým charakteristikám (gender), emoci hněvu a projevům krutosti v náboženském kontextu. Identita je zkoumána hlediska vývoje a stylů, konstrukce významu a ve vztahu k etnické dimenzi a makrosociálním institucím. Volně je zařazena stať o maladjustaci adolescentů a přehled lexikálních výzkumů pětifaktorové struktury popisu osobnosti.

The book includes thirteen papers on aggression, identity, and personality research topic. The authors are focused on both individual and more complex relations among these topical areas. Aggression is explored in relation to the self, to the social norms, to identity, to responsibility, to environmental stressors, to gender, to anger, and to cruelty in religious context. Identity is researched in its developmental, social constructionist, ethnic and macro-social context. Two papers ů on adolescentŽs maladjustment and on lexical researches of five-factor personality structure ů are attached as a freely related to the main topic of the book.
