    The monograph is a study of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of Mughal silver coinage circulating in the area of the present-day state of Uttar Pradesh (India) in the period 1560-1760. The author discusses various methods for statistical processing of Mughal silver coins, deals with different types of hoards, their chronology, spatial and temporal distribution, sizes and structure. Reconstruction of production profiles of important Mughal mints is followed by an attempt to asses the rate of growth of Mughal silver coin stock during two centuries of Mughal rule.
