V Slapské nádrži dlouhodobý vzrůst biomasy zooplanktonu je větší než vzrůst celkového fosforu ale menší než vzrůst koncentrace chlorofylu. Pokles podílu velkých perlooček je interpretován jako vliv změny rybí osádky. Proti předchozím létům v druhé polovině léta 2003 došlo k snížení četnosti perloočky Diaphanosoma a zvýšení perlooček rodu Daphnia a Bosmina. Rozdíly v relativním poklesu biomasy zooplanktonu a chlorofylu-a dále změny relativní četnosti různých filtrátorů jsou diskutovány ve vztahu k hypotéze úspěšnějšího využívání potravy většími jedinci.

In the Slapy Reservoir the long-term increase of the biomass of zooplankton is larger than the increase of total phosphorus but smaller than the increase of the concentration of chlorophyll. The decrease of larger cladocerans is interpreted as influenced by the change of the fishstock. In contrast to the proceeding years in the second half of 2003 frequency of Diaphanosoma decreased and frequency of Daphnia and Bosmina increased. The discrepancy in the change of chlorophyll and zooplankton biomass and changes in the relative frequency of different filtrators are discussed in relation to the hypotheses of more efficient use of resources by larger filtrators.
