Summarization of 45 years' changes in Klíčava Reservoir ecosystem. The first 5 years of natural ageing an extreme increase in zooplankton biomass was observed. Fish biomass reached a stabilized value after 12 years. However, fish species structure and dominance passed through perch phase through perch plus roach to cyprinids phase during 45 years. The most decisive external driving force are considerable fluctuations of water level due to overexploitation, which affects phosphorus loading and phytoplankton biomass. The recent status is a slow örecoveryö from serious water level drops in preceding years. Trophic status is expected to be stabile - meso- to eutrophic.
