Monografie podává obecné i specifické charakteristiky fluviálních, ledovcových, eolických, svahových, jezerních a jeskynních sedimentů. Strukturní a texturní znaky jednotlivých typů a subtypů popsaných z území Česka jsou dokumentovány množstvím makro- i mikrofotografií.

The monography compiles general and specific characteristics of fluvial, glacial, aeolian colluvial, lacustrine and cave sediments. Data on individual types and subtypes of sediments as described from the Czech territory are summarized and documented byamount of photos showing both macro- and microtextural and structural features.
