Overview comparing the effects of melatonin in suprachiasmaticneurons and in the pituitary gonadotrophs. In both cells, melatonininhibits forskolin-or PACAP-induced increase of cAMP. In thegonadotrophs, melatonin also inhibits GnRH-induced increase ofintracellular calcium.
