The paper covers issues related to the application of information systems in the public administration sector and the delineation of the key goals of the implementation of information systems at a municipal level. These include, above all, the task of raising the authority of the public administration sector, promoting citizens' confidence in public administration, and also enhancing transparency in the process of developing the country's economic environnment.
