    A frequency conversion technique applied to iodine laser beams is described in detail for the ISKRA-4 and PERUN as representatives of wid and narrow aperture systems. The conversion efficiency was measured and predicted theoretically for both the 2nd adn 3rd harmonics. The performance of conventionally grown conversion DKDP crystals is compared with that grown by the accelerated and the directional method.
