The research center for Optics is a new research project, the main purpose of which is to establish a basis for develolpment of modern optics in the Czech Rrepublic. Research is concentrated on the fields of quantum optics, fundamental aspects of quantum theory, quantum cryptography, quantum information and quantum computing.Also methods of classical optics are used and new results are excepted.
